These work’s came out of an inquiry into the mechanical eye of the camera. The camera not only allows us to capture moments in time but it also allows us to see and compare views that are not normally accessible to the human eye. In these images the time scale inherent in the mountain range is off set by the digital image on the right. While one time zone could be viewed as ancient, earthy the other is digital in its origin, fleeting and unstable.
